After lunch on board, begin your Egyptian adventure with a visit to the High Dam, an engineering marvel completed in 1970 that created Lake Nasser, one of the world's largest artificial lakes.

Continue to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. This beautiful temple was relocated to Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign. Take a short motorboat ride to reach this enchanting island sanctuary.

Return to the ship for dinner and your first overnight on the Nile.

Mid-morning, the ship docks at Kom Ombo. Visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands directly on the Nile's edge. This temple is unusual as it's dedicated to two gods: Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus (the falcon-headed god). The temple's perfect symmetry reflects this dual dedication.

Explore the fascinating Crocodile Museum, which houses mummified crocodiles discovered in the area. Learn about ancient Egyptian medical instruments depicted in the temple's reliefs.

Return to the ship for lunch as it continues sailing to Edfu. Afternoon at leisure to relax on deck or enjoy the ship's facilities.

Day 3

Edfu Temple & Sailing to Luxor

After breakfast, enjoy a unique experience as you take a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride through Edfu town to reach the temple (approximately 15 minutes).

Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Built between 237 and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic period, this magnificent structure is dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. Marvel at the massive pylons, detailed hieroglyphics, and the imposing statue of Horus as a falcon.

Return to the ship via horse-drawn carriage and enjoy lunch as the cruise continues sailing toward Luxor through the Esna Lock. This is a fascinating engineering process to watch as the ship is raised or lowered to navigate different water levels.

Afternoon at leisure on board. Perhaps enjoy afternoon tea on the sun deck while watching the lush Nile Valley landscape pass by.

Arrive in Luxor in the evening. Optional visit to Luxor Temple beautifully illuminated at night (additional cost).

Day 4

West Bank of Luxor

Early breakfast followed by an extensive tour of Luxor's West Bank, the ancient Theban Necropolis.

Begin at the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs (1550-1070 BC). Your entrance ticket includes visits to three tombs (note: King Tutankhamun's tomb requires a separate ticket). Descend into these underground chambers adorned with colorful hieroglyphics and scenes from ancient Egyptian religious texts.

Continue to the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This unique temple is built into the cliff face in a series of terraces. Learn about Egypt's most successful female pharaoh who ruled for over 20 years.

Stop briefly at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood guard for over 3,400 years.

Return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon free to rest or explore Luxor town independently.

Accommodation: Nile Cruise (Full Board)

Day 5

East Bank of Luxor - Karnak & Luxor Temples

After breakfast, disembark for a tour of Luxor's East Bank monuments.

Visit the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious building ever constructed. This vast open-air museum covers about 200 acres and was built over 2,000 years by successive pharaohs. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns, each 69 feet tall. Marvel at the sacred lake, obelisks, and countless statues and hieroglyphics.

Continue to Luxor Temple, connected to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes (currently being restored). This temple, built primarily by Amenhotep III and Ramesses II, served as a setting for religious festivals. Admire the massive first pylon, the granite obelisk (its twin is in Paris), and the colonnade of papyrus-bud columns.

Return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Perhaps enjoy one last swim in the sun deck pool or shop for souvenirs in Luxor's bazaar.
